It all started in 1993 after I graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with an AA in Office Systems Technology, Focus in Legal Studies. I moved in with my Aunty Aileen in Keizer, Oregon and was ready to set the world on fire as a legal secretary. However, as you may know, life can often have different plans for you. In this case, life placed me as the receptionist for a RE/MAX office in Salem where I met some amazing agents and eventually became the part-time assistant to the amazing Evelyn Moreland. She had a passion for the industry, and is the person who gave me the knowledge and belief that I too could become a Realtor®. Of course, with the twists and turns of life, I didn’t pursue real estate until I finally dove in a few years ago, however it has been something I have wanted to do for a long time.
I could sit here and tell you I have strong negotiating skills, local market knowledge, and so forth – and of course, I do – but there is one thing I want to share with you, it is the thing that is the most important tool I can provide you in the sale of your home or the purchase of your next home, it is my passion. I didn’t get into the industry to make money. I got into the industry because I fell in love with it. I fell in love with the homes, the character each one has, and the amazing people I get to help transition from one to another. I fell in love with hearing people’s stories, really getting to know their needs for their futures, and focusing on ensuring you find a home that actually meets those future goals. Real estate can be a stressful thing, moving out of a home you’ve known for years can be hard, and it can be harder if you don’t have someone to partner with who doesn’t take the time to understand that.
My business goes beyond the professionalism I can bring to the table, as someone who has lived in Oregon my whole life in different communities I understand what draws people to this beautiful state and the diverse communities that encompass it. In addition, my years of knowledge about our local market and communities has allowed me to help homeowners like you through the real estate process. My number one goal is to prioritize you.
