2015 marked the third year in a row that more people moved to Oregon than anywhere else in the nation! An annual study done by United Van Lines stated that 69% of the movers were inbound, a number that has been steadily increasing year after year.
Economists conclude that Oregon’s enriching amenities, industrial growth, and relatively low cost of living, is what has drawn so many newcomers; their specific research shows that a quarter of those relocating did so for retirement. Another quarter said they simply wanted to “embrace the Oregon lifestyle,” and almost half moved in because of a new job.
Before 2013, Oregon was ranked 2nd for four years straight.
